What is a good banner location?
It would be a place on your home/main page where the majority of the traffic to your site will be able to see the banners presented there. Think of where you would like your own banner displayed. Then be courteous to other members and put the banner HTML code in that location. Banners at the bottom of the page or in a obscure location on your web site will not help you earn credits and promote your web site through the exchange.

How much display space should I plan on for banners on my page?
Plan on 400x40 pixels (5.556 by .556 inches) of space for your banner and at least 30 pixel (paragraph) spacing top, bottom and sides. It is best to allow more then paragraph spacing for graphics. Studies have show that at least 50 pixels of spacing should surround a graphic on your page. This way the page will not look cluttered and the eye will won't be distracted away from your graphics.

What do terms like "impressions", "Click-through hits" and "ratio of hits or click rate" mean?
Impressions are the number of times your banner has been displayed on other members' sites. Click-through hits are the number of times someone has seen your banner on a member's site and clicked on it to visit your site. Ratio of hits or "click rate" is the number of your banner impressions divided by the number of hits, telling you a percentage based on how many hits you are getting per 100 banner impressions.
