The Glasair III is truly a fantastic airplane to fly. Its performance and stability meet all our expectations. The two most rewarding aspects of the airplane for us are its very high cruise speed and its excellent handling in all flight regimes. We have found an unexpected third benefit in that it is a fine instrument platform.
Building time for N196G took about 7 years and 9000 + hours. A bit more then was expected, but what the heck, it is that much newer as it sits today as a result of it. And modifications and upgrades during the building process really add to the man-hours.
